Coaches and Directors

Kevin joined the Pointe Aquatics staff in 2012. Kevin has been a valued consultant for Pointe Aquatics since 1995 when he began coaching at Lochmoor Club. He is also the head Varsity Coach for Livonia Franklin boys and girls swim team. Kevin is a math teacher at Franklin High School in Livonia. He has previously coached with OLY, The Novi Sturgeons, and Spartan Aquatic Club. During his coaching tenure he has helped swimmers to become Olympic Trial qualifiers, National Junior team members, National and Junior national qualifiers, Sectional qualifiers and champions, State champions, High School State champions and MICSA team and individual champions. Kevin attended and swam at the University of South Carolina. As an age group swimmer he was a Junior National Finalist and a National Qualifier. Kevin also has master’s degree in secondary education from Indiana University where he also played Water Polo.

Tim joined Pointe Aquatics as a coach in 2007 under the direction of the late Mike O’Connor Sr. During his tenure Tim has served in all capacities of the club, from Development coach to Intensive/Senior coach, including an interim stint as Head Coach. His duties to the team have not only been limited to the pool deck, but club administration as well. In 2015 Tim was appointed the position of Club President. In the mid 1980’s Tim swam for Wayne State University where he also served as Team Captain. Tim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from WSU and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems from the University of Detroit Mercy.


Christine is an original member of Pointe Aquatics. She swam for PA while growing up. Christine returned to PA to coach from 2006 – 2008, and then returned again in 2012. Christine has helped developed swimmers to swim at all levels of the sport. She has worked with Olympic Trial qualifiers, Junior National team members, Junior national and national qualifiers, Sectional champions and qualifiers, State champions and MICSA champions. Christine has been a coach at Lochmoor Club since 1996. She has also coached at the Novi Sturgeons, Spartan Aquatic Club and was the head girls coach and assistant boys coach at Livonia Franklin High School. Christine swam at Indiana University where she achieved Olympic Trial cuts in the 200 IM and 50 freestyle. While swimming for Pointe Aquatics, Christine was a State Champion multiple times and held several state records. While swimming for Grosse Pointe North Christine was a High School State Champion in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. And achieved All-American status several times. Christine was a junior national qualifier and a national qualifier. Christine is a special Education teacher in Farmington.

Jenny joined the Pointe Aquatics coaching staff Fall 2013. She is a 2013 Michigan State graduate with a BA in Finance. She was a four year Varsity swimmer at MSU. Jenny was named the "2013 MSU Women's Swimming & Diving Scholar Athlete" for highest GPA. She also received the "Freshman Swimmer of the Year" and two "Swimmer of the Year" awards while on the MSU Swim Team. While at MSU she set the school record in 2013 in the 50 Free and was part of two record holding relays. Jenny is a 2012 Olympic Trials Qualifier in the 50 Free. She worked as an Assistant Coach with the MSU Summer Swim Camp. In her youth, she swam for Grosse Pointe North and Pointe Aquatics through high school. Jenny earned six All-State awards and was a Long Course State Champion in the 50 Free in 2007 and 2008.

Nick joined the Pointe Aquatics staff in 2015. Nick is currently the Head coach of the Grosse Pointe Shores Park, and an assistant coach for the Grosse Pointe North Girls and Boys teams. As a swimmer Nick swam for Pointe Aquatics and Lochmoor Club in his youth. During this time he was a MICSA champion in the 50 free and a sectional level qualifier in the 200 IM, 50 Free, 100 free, and 100 breaststroke. Nick swam High School at L’Anse Creuse High School where he was a state qualifier in the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Nick is a primary coach for the Blue and Developmental groups, as well as an assistant to the junior group. Nick is currently a student at Wayne State University.
